The Miracle of Medical Massage

I chose to become a medical massage therapist after I discovered just how potent bodywork could be in helping unresolved injuries heal. I was involved in a nearly fatal car crash during my teens (...it was the other driver's fault). My injuries were so extensive that I spent over a decade trying to figure out how to fix them, and find relief from the pain and dysfunction they caused. I worked with over a dozen modern medical "specialists" who were all clueless as to what was wrong or how to help me -- it was SO frustrating. I had X-Rays, CAT scans, MRI scans, Functional-MRI scans, Angiographic-MRI scans... the point is, I was VERY thorough and spared no expense in seeking relief!

Then I met a man from Brazil who had earned the nickname "Magic Fingers" in the press because he had helped so many people heal illnesses and injuries that no modern medicine men were able to resolve.

Relying entirely upon his knowledge of anatomy and physiology, his intuition, and his finely-tuned fingers, this master of massage was able to finesse his clients' soft-tissues (muscles, nerves, connective tissues) in such a way as to elicit a healing response, which then brought their bodies back into balance. I refer to his work as a “scientific miracle.” Those who read this will have to schedule a session with me if they want to understand exactly what that means. By balancing the tissue structures of his clients' bodies, the stress this dissolved enabled them to relax sufficiently for their self-healing mechanisms to heal whatever condition they had been suffering from. It only took three sessions for him to undo the dysfunctions that I had endured for nearly 20 years! He did more to help me heal than all the other physicians and therapeutic interventions I had tried – COMBINED! I decided to become a massage therapist after this experience showed me how powerful massage can be in relieving stress and empowering the body to relax enough to heal itself.

My experience with my own prolonged injury recovery process has given me great insight into the injuries and illnesses of others, and fuels my passion for helping others experience the same or similar "scientific miracle" I have been fortunate enough to experience.

I am not saying it happens all the time – there are a lot of variable factors that contribute to a successful spontaneous resolution. Each person is unique. But what I am saying is that it does in fact happen, on occasion.  It tends to happen when the right set of circumstances come together -- and that is what makes my massages unique to most others: I have dedicated my life to understanding and creating those circumstances.

I have experienced this phenomenon of "spontaneous resolution" first hand -- with my mentor "Magic Fingers;" and in the years since I have been able to facilitate it for a growing number of clients. I can't make any promises, and do not wish to create false hopes or expectations.

What I can promise is, that I am persistently passionate about creating the dynamics necessary to jump-start any “stuck” or “static states” in the soft-tissue structures of your anatomical architecture.  I can also promise that if you will come work with me, with an open mind to believing in the possibility, and allow your "self" to simply "let go" and just "go with the flow" of our session -- you will achieve deeper states of relaxation and corresponding "healing feelings" than you have ever experienced before.

REMEMBER THIS: ONLY the body can heal itself.  All a physician or therapist can do is apply tools and techniques that essentially stimulate your body's self-healing mechanisms.  Structural soft-tissues stuck in a stressed state is the source of most unresolved illness or injury.

Modern medical practice is ineffective in treating these because the prevalent paradigm of "drugs and surgery" completely bypasses assessing the state of the patient's soft-tissue structures.  Think about it: when was the last time your physician checked the muscle tone in your neck or shoulder muscles, after stethoscoping your heartbeat, taking your blood pressure and checking your temperature???

Please don't interpret this as a dismissal of modern medicine or mainstream physicians -- I believe both are integral parts of our healthcare system, and am grateful for the help I have received from both.  It was just rather infuriating to discover -- after almost two decades of research and testing and examinations by the so-called "gurus" of specialized medicine -- that my "issues" were actually being caused by the misalignment of my soft-tissues.  And all it took to alleviate the pain and suffering that caused me for so many years, was a few highly skilled massages.

I can't help but wonder, how many others out there are needlessly suffering for the same reason?  My experience has given me great insight into the stresses and suffering of others -- because my car accident was so traumatic (I actually died and was resuscitated with CPR by someone at the scene) -- I can relate to pretty much anyones' physical problems or pains.  My experience has also refined both my strength and sensitivity.  I give an exceptional lighter relaxation massage, and an equally phenomenal deep tissue therapeutic massage.

I don't like to "toot" my own horn -- it's just hard to know how to differentiate my unique skills and the services I provide from the mainstream massage and spa community. My experience has just refined my fingertips in a way that no amount of education, training or practical experience can.  Check out my reviews on the "Reviews" page to learn about others experience with my services.
